"The family is the center point" is a motto passed down from generation to generation by the Stephen family. When Johann Steffen started viticulture in Trittenheim in 1794, this was only possible with the help of his family. The first wines bottled around 1910 were a welcome success. Decades later, in 1945, when the company needed to be re-established, brothers Johan and Peter Steffen remembered this motto and laid the foundation stone for the family business Gebrüder Steffen.

Traditionally, in addition to wines from the central region of the Mosel, selected wines from the surrounding regions are also produced and sold. This is done with a strong emphasis on quality and sustainability.

Hans and Roman Steffen travel to the surrounding sites several times a year to meet and exchange information with experienced grape producers. They also evaluate the vineyards and discuss common practices for maintaining them. These activities enable Weinhaus Gebrüder Steffen to intervene early in the complex wine preparation process and achieve optimal results.
