Martell Blue Swift 藍淬燕 50ml

An innovative eaux-de-vie from Martell, made by finishing their acclaimed VSOP cognac in Kentucky bourbon casks. This finishing process lends an intense aromatic intensity to Martell's refined, pure cognacs, layering the typical aromas of candied fruit and plums with notes of vanilla and toasted oak.

This eaux-de-vie cannot be called a cognac, since the latter can only be aged in French oak barrels, in honor of Martell being the first cognac house to ship its barrels to the United States.

Nose: We first notice gourmet aromas of banana and caramelized pear. Subtle sweetness then emerges, with hints of vanilla and coconut blended spice and mint revealed.

Taste: Soft, round and delicious. We taste deep and fresh flavors of white compote like ginger and plum. We then experience rich, smooth and long toasted oak from Kentucky bourbon barrels.
