The sixth edition of The Macallan Archives series, Folio 6 celebrates a clever ad that deftly features the 'Chairman' as the Scot dancing, wielding a Highland pen and paintbrush, emblematic of Holmes and Salaman's ad team.

At the time, Macallan's chairman was Allan Shiach, a writer himself, who pitched the brand's creative team with the serendipitous idea. Of course, these two proposals seem to be inclined to accept them from above, but of course, when Chairman McCarran is in office, they will hardly object.

His brows were wrinkled. Disturbing murmurs. But the consultants persisted in their creative assignment, ultimately opting to play the role of the Chairman himself in his response to the glove he dropped. The resulting marketing campaign remains one of the brand's most memorable and, to many, funniest.

Aroma: Tangerine and ginger, with pear, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg, fresh oak and a touch of chocolate.

Palate: Oranges and sultanas with ginger lead to soft milk chocolate.

Aftertaste: Ginger is warm and long.
