La Chapelle de La Mission Haut Brion 2014 (RP90)

Origin:France - Pessac Leognan
Capacity: 750ml

Expert Score
Robert Parker Rating: 90/100
La Mission Haut Brion is located in Pessac Leognan in the southwestern part of Bordeaux. The manor is just opposite Chateau Haut Brion, between Berg Creek and Snake Creek, and is located on a vast gravel plateau, giving Mission Haut Brion unique high-quality soil.
The history of the winery can be traced back to the sixteenth century, and in 1682, the winery became famous after being taken over by the priests of the mission, which is also the origin of the name of the winery today. The priests have worked hard and put a lot of effort into the vineyard, and in less than a century it has become one of the top local wineries. In 1983, the Delon family, who had taken over Chateau Haut Brion at that time, bought La Mission Haut Brion, continuously improving the technology and developing the immeasurable terroir of the estate.
"La Chapelle de La Mission Haut Brion 2014 has a light aroma, very subtle and understated, with nice notes of blackberry, lingonberry and blackcurrant unfolding gently in the glass; medium-bodied, with a Tobacco-flavored black fruit. Develops more presence in the mouth when sipped from the barrel, and although her finish lacks a bit of complexity and looks austere, drinkable now and for the next 6-8 years." - Robert Parker
