Kilchoman Small Batch Release Single Malt Whisky (Limited to 2520)

The small batch release series for selected markets beginning in 2019 will be based on the completed Machir Bay cask or Machir Bay Co-Cask, a 46% abv whiskey that has been matured for around 10 years. Aged mainly in bourbon casks for 5 years and 5-15% in Oroso sherry casks. This vat is then combined with an additional special wooden barrel.

While individual editions of the simultaneously highly successful range are often bottled exclusively for individual countries and sometimes even for individual national retailers, Keil Hohmann is now introducing a new bottling without a special country label. It will be distributed in various "smaller markets" to make more Kilchoman available to countries where exclusive bottling alone would not be profitable. The first partial version has just been released in Denmark.

The additional casks are STR casks (skinned, toasted and re-charred ex-red wine casks). The ratio of individual casks in the barrel is 75% Bourbon Whiskey, 5% Olroso Sherry and 20% STR. Limited to 2520 .
