A limited edition single malt whiskey from Kilchoman, Casado takes its name from the Portuguese word for marriage. Originally matured in 38 first-fill bourbon casks,

It is then aged for two years in a pair of Portuguese red wine barrels before being bottled. Intense campfire smoke, ripe plums, cherries, peaches, marzipan and sea surf fill the nose with black pepper,

Aromas of salty peat smoke, apricot, lemon, stewed plums, apricot jam and rich smoke run through the palate and linger on the finish.

Aroma: Campfire smoke, dried apricots, Dr. Pepper and some coastal salinity with notes of marzipan and toffee apple underneath.

Taste: Aromas of black pepper on smoked fish, lemon zest, tannin wood and stone fruit. There's a sweet, jammy element throughout.

Aftertaste: Aromatic spice and red berry tartness linger.
