Situated along the Forth and Clyde Canals, this renowned distillery has been shipping its unique Scotch whiskey from Glasgow to ports around the world for almost 200 years. Established in 1811, Port Dundas is at the culmination of the city's rich commercial history as a whiskey blending powerhouse. It eventually developed into a distillery known for its unique sweet and delicate grain character before closing in 2010.
For this new limited edition, a team of Johnnie Walker whiskey experts, led by Johnnie Walker Master Blender Dr Emma Walker, have carefully selected the most unique expressions of Port Dundas mature whiskey.
Emma, who has worked on the Johnnie Walker team for over ten years, has chosen to showcase these incredible expressions from Port Dundas with a selection of a small selection of unique aged whiskeys from our reserves, all in two different wood types Maturity adds depth and depth to the blend - Whiskey from aged second-fill American oak brings a hint of creamy vanilla, while Scotch from highly charred first American oak brings subtle woods spices.
To complement the aromatic woody spice character of Port Dundas, Emma and her team hand-selected two other 'ghost' whiskeys from distilleries in Cambus and Brora, before combining them with other very rare Scotch whiskeys from five iconic distilleries Whiskey Blends - Make something truly extraordinary.
