* This is a limited edition model issued by Suntory to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Yamazaki Distillery. This model is extremely rare in the 12th year of Hakushu's 100th anniversary release *

It is blended with sweet and pure flowing water and fermented with forest lactic acid bacteria. The aromatic wort with fruity and creamy aroma is distilled by direct fire and matured in oak barrels surrounded by forests for more than 12 years. The taste is hearty, fresh and sweet, as if you are in the wilderness of the woods.

Hakushu Distillery was founded in 1973. The distillery is located at a high altitude (708 meters). The climate is cooler than that of Yamazaki, but the temperature difference between day and night is large, especially in summer.

Fifty years after Shinjiro Torii built Japan's first distillery (Yamazaki), in order to diversify Suntory's malt whiskeys, they decided to choose a completely different environment to build a second distillery; after After years of hard work, the location was selected at the foot of Kai-Komadake in the Southern Alps.

Color: clear amber.

Aroma: green apple, lemongrass, citrus, white pepper, grass, cloves, white toast, refreshing and light smoky smell like young leaves.

Taste: Light peat, sweetness, grass, citrus peel, woody, chestnut-like fruity aroma.

Finish: Long and elegant smokiness.
