Glenrothes Whisky Makers Cut Single Malt Whisky
Alcohol concentration: 48.8%
Glenroth has returned to the Eddington Group since 2017. Chief winemaker Gordon Motion combines the advantages of both: the rich resources of Sherry casks in Glenroth's own winery and the most proud of the Eddington Group Oak barrel policy, special heavy money to create a new series of 100% sherry barrels: "The Soleo Collection".
The term "Soleo" originated from the traditional process of sun-dried grapes in Spanish sherry wine. After the grapes are harvested by hand, the grapes are carefully spread on the ground to receive the sun's exposure. Depending on the exposure time, the grape's The color also presents a different style, from orange to deep purple.
"The Soleo Collection" brings out the core essence of the new Glenroth. The four new products are all made of 100% sherry casks. The bold color packaging and year labeling echo the sun-dried aging time of sherry grapes.
The four new offerings are Glenroth 12 Years Old, Glenroth 18 Years Old, Glenroth 25 Years Old and the high alcohol strength Whiskey Maker's Cut. The first three products are made from 100% sherry casks, while the fourth Whiskey Maker's Cut is made from 100% first-time sherry casks.
100% sherry casks to create a new product
When head winemaker Gordon Motion revisited the Glenroth cellar, he was surprised to find that Glenroth had an amazing stock of sherry casks. In the overall inventory, there are more than 90% of Sherry casks in stock, and more than 80% of these stocks are first-time Sherry casks. Therefore, Gordon Motion has spared no expense to create a new series of Glenroth products in 100% sherry casks for wine lovers to drink.
After careful evaluation, chief winemaker Gordon Motion decided to let the previous series of Glenroth's emphasis on single vintage go into history, and use the year label to set the unique character of each year, so that wine fans can clearly know the aging year.
The outer packaging of Glenroth's new product is inspired by "Soleo", which echoes the time of grape aging in the sun, from bright orange to calm black. However, what has not changed is the bottle of Glenroth, which is very different from ordinary whiskey bottles. The concept of the bottle body of Glenroth comes from the sampling bottle in the sample room, and the bottle is set in a see-through outer packaging , like a work of art.
