Octomore 13.1 is as youthful and vibrant as its peaty predecessor. Patiently distilled from 100% Scottish Continental barley harvested in 2015 to a whopping 137.3 PPM, this single malt whiskey is matured in the highest quality American Oak casks.

All Octomore .1 editions are distilled from 100% Scottish barley. They are primarily aged in ex-American oak barrels only, in varying proportions of ex-bourbon or ex-Tennessee whiskey barrels.

As the backbone of each new collection, Octomore's .1 release showcases the original character of the clean Octomore spirit, balanced with a modest pre-American whiskey influence - and provides a necessary comparison from which other expressions alternate.

After five years of aging in pre-first bottling American oak barrels, our head still has made unique adjustments in this 13.1, collecting and re-barrelling the spirit in 2021 to a fresher pre-first bottling in American oak barrels.

The final flavor infusion comes from the interplay between the spirit and oak, providing additional flavors of dark toffee, coconut and vanilla.

This single malt whiskey is a testament to the trust our Head Distiller Adam Hannett has in the quality of his ingredients.

Along with patience and an understanding of how flavors evolve, this single malt perfectly embodies the courage of the Octomore as a concept.
