Octomore 10 sits alongside its 11-series counterparts, bringing a more mature flavor to .1, .2 and .3 spirits this decade. A total of 77 casks were combined to create this extra heavy PEESED ISLAY single malt.
The wine's maturation is primarily that of ex-American whiskey casks and hints at previous whiskeys coming together - all from the 2009 Stout. Limited edition of 12,000 bottles

Single malt matured in 16 casks of American Oak and Virgin Oak; 20% first fill Virgin Oak (aged 8 years), plus 80% first fill ex-American Whiskey cask ACE, in second Filled in virgin oak barrels. This complex blend was transferred to a second batch of ex-American whiskey casks in 2018.
Possessing another dimension, the influence of age calms the vitality of the spirit and takes more out of the wood. The barrel range used in this expression is especially noticeable. "
Characteristics – Octomore is such a unique expression that most of its flavor comes from malted barley and distilled spirits. Distillation technology allows us to slowly dial out flavors from grains that are influenced by where the grains are grown and really express unique flavors based on those fundamentals.

Aroma: Wonderful bouquet of peat and fruit. Nectarine and citrus fruit with aromas of pineapple and mango, with intense sweetness and complexity. Vanilla and oak sugar, nutty and vibrant. The fruit tastes great with age, the depth of flavor is amazing, the fruit is more exotic, and the citrus and mineral qualities are in the genes of our spirit.
Palate: Wonderfully salty on the lips, creating a viscous and honey-like texture. Finish: Oak drive, coconut, tobacco, vanilla, then smoke. The time in barrel has calmed the smoke due to the natural reduction in phenolics over time and the increasing influence of the oak.
