Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Company TTL set up a distillery in Nantou Distillery in Zhongxing New Village, Nantou in 2008, and purchased dry barley malt from Scotland to brew whiskey, and can operate consistently from malt crushing, saccharification, fermentation, distillation, and barrel aging .
Located on the bank of Maoluo River in Nantou City, it was built in May 1962, covering an area of 14 square meters. It was opened for sightseeing in 1975. It is famous for its rich wine in Taiwan. It purchases the fruits that are abundant in Taiwan and brews various fruit wines for tourists to taste and buy. All kinds of alcohol are of great tourism value and well received by consumers. Every year, the fourth Saturday in March is designated as the Nantou Distillery Fruit Wine Festival, and the expansion of good-neighborly activities includes garden fairs, product tastings, and promotions. , folk performances and other programs to drive industrial tourism in Nantou City. It is the only factory area of Taiwan Tobacco and Wine Co., Ltd. that produces fruit wine.
The most eye-catching thing at the gate of the winery is a wine tasting room that looks like a wine barrel. The house is about two stories high. Because of its special shape, it has become the symbol of Nantou Winery. There is also a briefing room, various fruit art sculptures, and landscaping art gardens in the factory, so you can enjoy the nearby mountains while tasting wine.
The factory currently produces more than ten kinds of products, such as wine, brandy, rum, whiskey, plum wine and other high-end alcohol, many of which have won awards from the World Tobacco and Alcoholic Awards, and their quality has been affirmed by international wine lovers.
