Product Introduction:
In 1911, the Méry family began to take root in the Grand Champagne region of the Cognac province of France. After three generations of hard work and a hundred years of operation, the family business is thriving. With Francois Méry marrying Janis Melrose, Méry-Melrose organic cognac was born.
In 2007, Janis began to transform the family's vineyards into organic production. All vineyards passed the EU EcoCert and US USDA organic farming certification in 2011. Before that, a large amount of cognac produced by Méry-Melrose was sold in bulk to the cognac giant Rémy Martin, and only a very small part of the cognac was sold locally under its own banner. The reserved aged cognac before obtaining organic certification was used to prepare the Méry XO series and marketed in France.
François and Janis carefully follow the natural production process, select high-quality organically grown grapes, use organic fertilizers, and cultivate the land from an environmental perspective. François also faithfully follows the distillation process of his father, using an old copper Charente still to double distill the naturally fermented grape wine, thereby presenting the top terroir connotation of the Grande Champagne region.
The unique label design of Méry Cognac is inspired by prehistoric art murals found in ancient caves in southwestern France. These murals have an amazing history, dating back to 18,000 years ago, and all the works clearly and faithfully reflect the harmonious coexistence of humans and animals at that time. Every drop of Méry-Melrose organic cognac pays tribute to the ancestors, tenderly tells the story of the family's long bloodline, and reveals endless admiration for the local natural terroir.
Distilling and blending cognac, combining tradition and art. The Cognac range was created by fourth generation Cellar Master and Winemaker François Méry.
Aging time : 12-20 years
Color : Like clear polished mahogany
Aroma : A rich, full-bodied aroma of fresh tobacco is first introduced, followed by leather, tobacco leaf and a hint of vanilla sugar.
Taste: A light sweetness envelops the tongue, bringing notes of marzipan, followed by leather, hazelnuts and a hint of vanilla sugar
