Shinobu Mizunara Pure Malt Whiskey

Niigata is famous in Japan for its "three whites" treasures of snow, rice and sake, as well as its naturally blessed environment of pure water sources. SHINOBU means "patience" in Japanese, as it is the spirit that a winemaker should have when making a premium whisky. Shinobu Whisky is handcrafted by creative winemaker Mr. Usami, carefully selecting whiskies from all over the world, which are first stored in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon barrels, and then finished in Japan with precious Japanese Mizukura oak. The result is a unique fusion of a dynamic burst of flavor and taste, yet so smooth and easy to drink. Pure and natural with no coloring.

Aromas of rounded Ovaltine, stewed plums and orange peel, followed by notes of dried coconut and vanilla. It's chewy, full-bodied, richer, softer, and overall better balanced than Shinobu's malt and grain blend. The finish is malty, followed by crisp and fine tannins that fade with an equally fine sweetness.
