RP93Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
This sprawling estate must have been a logistical nightmare for the winemaker, but in 2011, a blend of 55% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot, bursting with fragrant spring blossoms, Black raspberry, black currant, graphite and forest floor. An excellent example of Lascombes, medium to full-bodied with rich tannins, continuing the qualitative revolution that began 15 years ago. As one of the stars of the year, this beauty can be consumed over the next 20-25 years.
WE93 Wine Enthusiast
Chunky, bold fruit, showing rich blackberry juice flavors and fine tannins. Fruit and tannins are well balanced and the finish is juicy.
WS90 Wine Spectator
Firm, smooth with hints of plum plum, red currant and red licorice.
